Day 3 - Coastal Scenic Route (Part 2)

Still at Shi Ti Ping, Mr Chen decided to venture out a bit more...
There's Ivy at the top, its rather high up and she's afraid of heights

After climbing down.. we saw this..

A wild boar rock!

Nature's Aquarium..
This part intrigued me the most.
Over long period of time, pockets appeared in the coast rock formation
This pockets gather water either from rain or the sea,
and slowly life developed in them
Its really nature's aquarium, there were fishes, crabs and all.

Excessive Shampoo

Mr Chen first asked me what is this,
I told him that I have no idea except that its NOT a pineapple for sure
(cause pineapples don't grow on trees, neither do they look like that)
then Mr Chen explained that some singaporeans thought its pineapple.
*Facepalm*
.
.

Next we went to Sunflower Plantation
Damn Huge they are..

Peering out!
.
.
The rain finally fall and we had to drop Han Sui and Judy at the train station..
.
.
Next to Zi Qiang Night Market for food..

The Coffin.. aka French Toast plus filling
sucks...

Favourite cheap sashimi again!!

Day 3 - Food & Food

 Man Mei Zhu Jiao,
Famous place for Pig Trotters

Their Special lunch set that is not available to others
only 100TWD per set, but we were too full
So we shared 2 to a bowl

Lao Hu Ye Hot Springs
Not recommended, our tub got gigantic spider
which met its imminent doom when we turn on the hot spring tap

Yes, its BAaaaaaaaaaaaaaa Zhang
Can u imagine that we are eating again
-_-'

Same theory applies,
If you can't finish,
you share

We finally started on the coastal route drive
and stop nearby for a breath taking view

Next Stop after 45mins drive,
Shi Ti Ping
The "rocks" over here are actually formed from lava from a volcano..
You get to see pretty interesting striations
A pity its not a sunny day, else the photos would be much better

But I still like the place!

Bound

Day 3 - Coastal Scenic Route (Part 1)

We woke up at the break of dawn, and I was feeling much much better,
thanks to the medicine and care from Ivy.
.
.

The Stone House or House of Stone..

Contrasting outskirts from the homestay
.
.
After breakfast at the homestay,
We headed out to the coastal scenic route,
1st stop was a sea of flowers by the road..
Well. not really like a sea,
more like the grass was dotted all over with different colours

I think it will be more fantastic in the later months where the rest are in full bloom

New Singaporean friends made,
Han Sui and Judy,
joined us on our coastal route

Jade Picking,
Mr Chen brought us to a little river to pick jade,
Due to the rainy weather previously,
the jade was more prominent,
we kept asking Mr Chen to check if its a jade or a rock..
"这个是不是?" resounded through this event

Food! again.. -_-'
We had the Hakka 杂菜面.

So so only..

Next, we went to the wood carving exhibition of the tribal people,
as well as the first train in Hua Lian

Wooden plank seats..
Hard way to travel..
