Evan's Gift from Thailand

I think he's trying to get me into trouble using such a suggestive T-shirt....

Spore Garden Fest W/o Tripod = Not Very Clever

After attending the Singapore Garden Festival in 2006, I had a pretty good impression of it hence decided to make a special trip down to Suntec for SGF 2008.

But stupidly... I did not bring my tripod and the lighting were pretty dim, coupled with my shaky hands equals blurry pics..

Nonetheless, it was a great experience to step into the fantasy themed garden space again.
Absolutely charming, instant teleportation to another world.

The funny thing is... I was being approached by at least 10 people to take pictures for them, 1 auntie came and ask me how to delete pictures of her camera and another asked me where the photos are stored in her mobile phone after taking photos.

Do I look that approachable???

Shangri La Garden,
Trust me, the photo does not do justice to its beauty

Southern Ridges Part 3 of 3

After walking through the Canopy walk, I had to go past the Hort Park to reach Alexandra Arch (which should be much nicer at night) and my focus kinda changed to completing the journey instead of photo taking :P.

Next will be the forest walk which was quite long one to reach the Telok Blangah Hill Park where the next connector will be the Henderson Waves which I think looks 10x better at night. After the waves, walking through Mount Faber and Marang Trail, you reach back at Vivo.

Love this pic a lot too.. Miniature Presence

Henderson Waves (I can already imagine coming here at night for star gazing and chit chat)

Love Mosaic Wood

Marang Trail

So that ends the day trip for my Southern Ridge walk. Will be returning for a night trip which I think will be a more adventurous one ;)

Southern Ridges Part 2 of 3

After the walk in Kent Ridge Park, I have reached the Canopy Walk...

Southern Ridges Part 1 of 3

Saturday morning, after a 7am breakfast at Ya Kun with Xie Ke Li and Win, I went on a 10 km photo trip to explore the Southern Ridges walk.

And this is the map...

So as I alight from my bus, I started the walk towards Vigilante Dr along South Buona Vista Road to hit Kent Ridge Park, its a route I used to take quite a bit. Along the way... I saw a prata shop I frequented.

Royal Prata Shop with fantastic prata..

Reminds me of Ms Xie Ke Li haha.. Chiak Chiak

Presenting the edible yellow flower of the all-so-army-boy-familiar CB leaf... Also the national flower of Brunei.

Vigilante Drive Finally... And began a steep slope climb to KRP.

A Drive Down The Memory Lane

This will be one of the posts that I will type more..

Sick for the past 2 days with throat and ear infection plus a swollen right tonsil.
But... I had the urge plus inspiration to take some photos...
2 places that I hung out a lot probably 10 years ago...
These places hold special and important memories of my life.. Both happy and sad..

Path by the Canal
I spent a lot of time thinking here... I will just sit there for hours, pondering about the different aspects of my life and unfortunately, this sanctuary of mine had been tainted by the darkest moments of my life as well.

En Route to the Bridge

The Oblivious Sign
I never once pushed my bicycle across, despite passing by this sign more than a hundred times.

Past By
I spent a lot of great times here with my 3 buddies,
We would talk cock till dawn,
Sat on the bridge as if it was ours,
Looked at stars and caught a few shooting stars,
Saw the first illegal night race on TPE (more than 20 over Honda Civics)
Singing so loud as the roads drown us out..
And of course, we were there for each other during bad times as well.

Thank guys.. My life would not be what it is now without you great people..
A bit mushy though, but I love you guys =D

Jap Garden Trip

The only signs of Japanese stuff in Japanese Garden -_-'

NO information at all regarding these bridges.. -_-

Saw this rock and I feel it looks like my car... so crazily, I began to see those rocks as cars..

See the resemblance?

Cars on the expressway

Head on..

Turtle from Bangladesh... I think.. (never seen such a dark turtle in Singapore)

Singapore's Mini TeleTubby Land

Looks more like a Hanger for rags rather than a tree.

Red Fruity Version of CJ 7

Love this pic.. Named it "Unity"

Lastly, caught a squirrel snacking..
Its expression tells all...

T3 again

Went to send my colleague Angie off to Brisbane on the 29th June (was somehow coerced into it haha). Will email u the rest of the pics, Angie :)
